The Benefits of Using A Household Food Waste Disposer

Separating Recyclables Is Important!

A lot of us tend to dispose of our food by throwing it in the trash, in the process often mixing it with plastics and other materials that are non-biodegradable like disposable batteries and cans of food. This is not exactly the wisest way to dispose of food waste; doing things this way is not very helpful, as recycling is easier when biodegradables are separated from non-biodegradable materials and substances. Oftentimes, we do this mostly because we just wish to quickly dispose of our food waste. There’s available equipment for this.

Otherwise known as a garbage disposer or a waste or garbage disposal unit, a food waste disposer is an electricity-powered equipment that makes it easy to get rid of food waste. Oftentimes, these are fitted right beneath kitchen sinks, right in the middle of the food shredder and the drain. The shredder works to cut up food waste into tiny pieces, so that they do not cause any clogs as they go through the plumbing. A lot of individuals are under the impression that garbage disposers are not good for the environment, and yet the opposite is what is true. Below are the benefits of using a household food waste disposer.

1. Using a food waste disposer is a quick means of starting a compost pile, perfect for individuals that just do not have the inclination or time to manually chop these up so they do not take up a lot of space in the garbage bag. Shredding food waste into very small pieces saves space in the trash.

2. The Insinkerator food waste disposer will allow you to lessen the amount of food waste that would otherwise just end up in the environment’s landfills. Everywhere in the world, garbage disposal is a big problem, with many irresponsible people just mixing together recyclables and non-recyclables; or biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials.

3. A garbage disposal unit can help you reduce food waste by a lot – up to about 50%.

4. According to life-cycle studies, there are proven cost advantages in the use of a food waste disposer, as opposed to direct-to-landfill disposal of food waste.

5. The use of a food waste disposer basically turns waste into energy. Food wastes that are shredded and ground are transported to a waste water treatment plant, and this can be used as compost or fertilizer, or they can be the source of energy, as they entrap a gas called methane.

6. Compost piles are easy for food waste disposer users to make. This process requires space and time, but those that use food waste disposers usually do not have either – nor do they need them. Proteins in food waste like dairy products, seafood as well as meat are best left out of a compost pile; only plant food waste should be composted.

The Rules Of Beer Pong

During parties when people are standing around, buzzed and have nothing left to talk about or do, a game often commences: beer pong. This is a fun game that can be played wherever there is beer (preferably kickass beer made from a home brew kit), cups, and a long-ish table. If you and your buds have never played beer pong before but are looking into doing so, you might just want to think up your own rules. A lot of people do this, and the rules are often most hilarious, depending on how drunk the players are. Just the same, the official rules of beer pong really do exist, and there is even a world series for the game. What are the rules of beer pong?

A Beer Pong Table

1) First, the individuals are divided into a couple of teams, with each team facing the other from either end of the beer pong table. Mostly, a beer pong team is just composed of 2 people.

2) Ten cups are placed on either end of the table, forming a triangle shape, with 4 cups at the farthest edge of the table and 1 cup at the “tip” of the triangle. The rims ought to touch, but no cup should be leaning on another, and the bottom of each cup should be set flat on the beer pong table.

3) 2.3 ft x 8 ft x 2 ft is the measurement of a standard beer pong table used in tournaments, while the balls used are regular ping pong balls that measure 40 mm each.

4) You will need about 24 ounces of beer for every 10 cups, so you will need around 48 ounces of total liquid. In most tournaments that are official, water is used to fill up the 4 cups sitting closest to either edge of the beer pong table. However, most people in parties use pure beer straight from the beer kegerator.

5) Random selection is used to determine which team goes first, but in some cases, a face-off is held to determine this. This is often done by playing the game with no scoring taking place. It’s all a matter of who gets a ping pong ball into a cup first.

6) As tradition would have it, the first team to throw a ping pong ball into a cup is only allowed a single shot. In succeeding turns, a single turn is equivalent to a couple of shots for each team, and so each member of the team gets to try to get a ping pong ball into a cup.

7) A score is officially made if a ball lands in the other team’s cup, even if it bounces on the table in the process. On the other hand, a team is penalized (1 cup) if there is any clear interference in the ball’s trajectory or a player’s performance. Tipping over a cup that belongs to your own team means the cup is to be taken out – unless nobody notices.

8) Near the end, a single cup remains for each team. Whoever makes the first shot doesn’t win if the other team gets a ball into a cup, too. If the rebuttal shot is not made, other team wins.

Boxing Training Tips Using the Wavemaster Freestanding Training Bag

The Wavemaster Freestanding Training Bag is different from traditional punching bags. Traditional punching bags install onto the ceiling using a chain and a hook, or they hang from a stand. The freestanding training bag from Wavemaster has a sturdy, circular base, and does not sway or bounce around unlike classic training bags. After each hard punch, it returns to its position in the middle, so there is no risk of getting hit back by the training bag. Whether you’re a novice or a professional, you will be sure to benefit from the use of this training bag. Below are some tips for using and training with the Wavemaster Freestanding Training Bag.

Boxing Training at the gym can now be done at home!

1. If you don’t have a home gym, place the training bag somewhere in your home where there will be sufficient space for when you punch and when the training bag rebounds. These bags do not make a lot of noise, so they are perfect even for condos or apartments, or if you are living with a roommate.

2. Make sure you adjust the height of the training bag so that your punches are comfortable and not awkward. The training bag can be adjusted between 52 and 72 inches in height.

3. Use either water or sand to fill up the training bag. Once you’ve filled it up, the weight of the training bag itself should be 70 lbs.

4. Consider variations of the Wavemaster Freestanding Training Bag that feature striking zones that are numbered. These allow for more accurate punches.

5. Before anything, make sure that your form is upright. The Wavemaster Freestanding Training Bag and shadowboxing can both help you with the technical aspect of your training. Your purpose in doing this is to develop your form and the precision of your body movements, so you accomplish these correctly, since your objective is to maximize your training and ensure that you steer clear of injuries.

6. As you work on your strength, bear in mind that your objective this time is to develop your body’s capabilities in punching, as well as getting them. At the same time, you are working on your agility. It is not ideal for boxers to do a lot of weightlifting but rather, doing exercises that rely on their bodyweight, like doing pushups, pull-ups, and making use of training balls and light weights eventually. You can also work on developing the large muscle groups of your body by using equipment like the Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Machine.

7. Another thing to focus on down the line is your conditioning and stamina. If you are training to become a professional boxer, you will need to work on your endurance. One thing that can help you build endurance is HIIT, or high intensity interval training. Jogging or running while shadowboxing regularly will also help.
